Johan Broman (www.johan-broman.se), famous Swedish TV-host of fishing shows and founder of top quality brands in the tackle business, and Tomas Edenfeldt (www.dinfiskeguide.se), former IGFA-world record holder and fishing journalist, introduce advanced training in jerkbait fishing. The concept is unique in the European fishing community.
The concept
Jerkbait fishing, originally from the U.S., has become immensely popular in Sweden and is about to conquer the rest of Europe. xxxWhen we meet people out on the water we have experienced a wish for more guidance on how to develop the technique and catch bigger fish. That gave us the idea to create “J.A.”, Jerkbait Academy.
J.A. consists of a day filled with top of the line lectures and technique training that will give your jerkbait fishing a real boost! A day at J.A. looks like this:
xxxA morning with lectures given by the country’s leading authorities on Jerkbait fishing and pike fishing. The theoretical part covers topics such as where to find big pike, specific baits for specific types of water, how to choose a suitable rod and what constitutes a good rod.
xxxAlongside the theory you will participate in practical exercises; e.g. how to operate a baitcasting reel to cast longer and more accurately, and above all, we will show you how to make the jerkbait look natural in the water and totally irresistible for the big pike you long for.
xxxThe afternoon is all about fishing. We will take the theory into practice and perfect the technique out on the water! We divide the participants into different boats and the lecturers from the morning will be your personal guides in the afternoon.
When the afternoon has come to an end we summarize the day and our experiences of what we have learned during this day. You will also be given a unique J.A. T-shirt, a course diploma and a leaflet consisting of the most important information from the lectures.
Where and how?
In Sweden, J.A. takes place in the archepelago of Stockholm and you are more than welcome to participate in our training on site. More conveniently for you, however, we can come to your own home town! We travel and adapt the concept to the environment locally. Scandinavia, The U.K. and other countries are places we visit; where there is pike, there is a possible Jerkbait Academy!
xxxWhen we go abroad we need a local contact that arranges a suitable venue for the morning’s lectures and exercises with good pike waters in the close vicinity. The contact brings us in connection with suitable local lecturers and guides who can assist us with local expertise during the morning’s theory and the afternoon’s fishing. The local contact might e.g. be a tackle wholesaler or a tackle shop owner, or maybe a hotel manager with good connections in the fishing community.
